The Plot: Some students at Herrington High suspect that their teachers are aliens, and try to save the school from alien domination.
Review: by Kenneth Newquist Nuketown Editor @ http://www.nuketown.com The horror/action flick The Faculty is out on video, and if you missed it in the theatres, then you didn't miss much. The movie's tries to put a hip/slick Nineties wrapper on the classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers, but this feeble coating drips away, leaving its rotting, boring action storyline to carry its weight. Is it all bad? No. It certainly has its moments as it plays with students exceptions of what really goes on in the faculty room. And in a few places, we get the nostalgic feel of those world-domination movies of yesteryear, flicks like Day of the Dead and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, in which our victory over the zombies is never sure. But in The Faculty, however, our victory is never in doubt. It's a stolid, predictable horror movie, and in the end our noble heroes triumph over the big bad alien, thus saving Earth and transforming themselves into perfect, well-adjusted high school students. Now only if they'd had a few alien invaders in my high school...
